CxCommander 1.0 (22.05.94)

What is CxCommander?
(no, it's not Norton Commander clone!)
--------------
Did you ever feel need to command some Commodities from Shell? Disable,
enable, or even to kill them? If your answer is yes, this program is for
you. It will provide you with a way of sending CxMessages to selected
Commodities in a very convinient manner.
REQUIREMENTS
--------------
Amiga with Kickstart 2.0 or better,
some working Commodities to humilate,
power supply (lot of people forget about it in this requirements section).
USAGE
--------------
Simply type one of the supported commands after program name and then state
who is to receive your message. You can give just one name or a list of
them, or ALL switch which will cause all Commodities present in the system
to be signalled. In case you don't know who is around, you can always use
SHOW switch to see their names. Please don't forget that they are case
sensitive and that names consisting of more that one word should be quoted.
HELP switch can be handy for those of you who have problems remembering
their birthday's dates. And this is it.
Supported commands are:
DISABLE - stop this Commodity, man!
ENABLE - back to life...
APPEAR - show me your window if you have one, please.
DISAPPEAR - get out of my eyes!!!
KILL - so you can become a serial killer!
LIMITATIONS
--------------
CxCommander doesn't work from Workbench, but this is no real problem I
think, because you have Exchange for this purpose.
Also some MS-DOS und Windows uncompatibility may be encountered,
but it's not my fault (please report to Bill Gates).
DISCLAIMER
--------------
Parts of source code of CxKiller by Gael Marziou have been used in
CxCommander (do you recognize this TellAllBrokers() stuff, Gael? And
thanks for private functions of "commodities.library"!), but the rest is
mine and I'm the one to blame if something fails. CxCommander has been
reported to accidentally blow-up houses, kill PC-users and annoy
girlfriends and so can be considered safe to use and shouldn't do any more
harm than that. If it does, however, the author cannot be made responsible
in any way.
Source code is included so you can look and laught and even modify it, but
please state who changed what. Version in the archive has been compiled
with SAS C 6.50 and I don't know if it's possible to do it with any other
compiler. Give it a try.
This stuff is a mailware, but is Copyright © by Miloslaw Smyk. Mailware
means that if you use this program you should send me a postcard from your
country, and if you want this may be a letter as well. This archive may be
freely distributed as long as all files are present.
Suggestions, bug-reports, Marek Pampuch's head (ass as well - makes no
difference) please send to:
